Understanding Your Sovereignty
Oct 20, 2023
What is sovereignty?
Sovereignty is a complex concept discussed and debated by scholars, philosophers, and political theorists for centuries.
You can think of sovereignty as a form of self-empowerment where individuals or groups have the power and authority to govern themselves without interference from external forces.
Worded differently, it means to be in power within yourself.
It is about owning your power, making decisions, and controlling your destiny.
Who owns, makes decisions for, and controls you?
To be genuinely sovereign means to have oneness with yourself.
It means being genuinely authentic and true to who you really are without being influenced by outside forces.
This can be a challenging and lifelong journey, as we are constantly bombarded by pressures from society, institutions, and authorities that can pull us away from our true selves.
When we embrace our sovereignty and live in alignment with our true selves, we experience a sense of freedom, joy, and fulfilment that can be difficult to put into words.
We become the masters of our destiny and are no longer at the mercy of external forces.
We can live on our terms and create the world we want.
To be sovereign, you cannot rely on the external for your power.
Your power must come from within.
This means not relying on others for your power.
Society has tried since birth to take away inner strength and power.
Compulsory schooling depletes and extracts our sovereignty every single day and conditions us to accept this as usual.
We need to feel urged to regain our power and return to societal and internal sovereignty.
In doing so, we regain our inner strength.
Authorities and institutions take away our inalienable rights as if they are privileges.
It is time we all sat in our power and owned our sovereignty.
We need to recognize that our power and strength come from within, and we should not let anyone or anything take that away.
Only then can we indeed be free and live a fulfilling life.
